    I received this "Satsuma Egg" as a gift a few months ago from a friend who loves to buy things from yard sales and Habitat For Humanity. I've no idea about the history of this egg, but I thought I'd showcase this as my very first Show & Tell item.

      I am confused by this egg; it certainly looks like Satsuma to me but it says Made in China. I'll wait and see what others may say.

      I found one as well and all the reading I got says, if it is stamped or saying in english then it is a reproduction.. but that's the internet for ya.. waiting to hear other people's responses.. mine is very detailed, and beautiful as well. Just learning makers Mark's and antique markings.. there is alot to learn. Good luck to you..
