This little oil can is 5 inches tall. Apparently it is supposed to squirt oil but mine is filled with dried oil and the trigger seems to frozen. Perhaps if I can get the lid open I can get it working.
Along the silver strip on top it says "GOLDENROD". Had to remove a bit of the dried oil to read that. I probably should have done that before I took the photos.
There is a 6 inch scale in the last photo to show scale.
    Perhaps this predates WD40.

Nice old Goldenrod oiler by Dutton-Lainson Co. Good quality product - I still buy the newer oilers from them for use my hobby farm. The company was founded in 1886, when William M. Dutton and two friends started a small harness and horse collar shop.

The good old ones are good for bleeding brakes from the bottom up. The new ones I've tried don't have enough pressure.

Not sure what year - the older I get-the items seem like they were made not so long ago :) This is an older model # 6005 - 1/4 pint, manufactured in Hastings, Nebraska. I agree with blunderbuss2 on the pressure capacity on the older oilers versus newer.

Thank you very much bb2. I don't bleed my brakes often though.
