This little firepot is 14.5 inches high not including the handle and has three legs. It has a grid in the base and two diamond shaped holes in the side for ventilation. I thought it was probably for heating a tinsmith's soldering irons until I saw it advertised as a telegraph firepot in a catalogue of Buck and Hickman of London from 1935. I assume it heated irons for joining wires. Can anyone shed any light on this.
