HippieArch…
(516 items)
Acquired 18 Original News Photos from Watkins Glen Rock Concert July 1973 - concentrating more on the experience than the performers. Roughly 8 x 10 size - perhaps larger. It is interesting, these were found in a Tonawanda NY estate buried in a box. Of the 18 photos, three involved nudity. I mentioned this to a friend who attended and she told me she did not see any of that. Curious as why 1/6th of the archive involved it if it was not wide-spread. Hmmmm. Other photos included one of the medical tent and various crowd shots. Glad these were not disposed of by the family - great moment in rock history and towards the end of the hippie movement.
That was darn near as big as Woodstock,
A little music to look at them by:

Thanks PoliticalPinbacks. I shared this with a friend I know who was there, she really enjoyed it.
Had to bring back some good memories for her, Some reported this one as larger then Woodstock I can't say for sure either way.
Peace
