Banner week at the thrifts!! 4 beautiful Vintage Murano Flavio Poli Sommerso vases! The first are 16" (cobalt blue with gold flake) the second triple faceted (12") cobalt blue, gold flakes with amber edging. The next day I picked up the smaller green and amber vase (9") and finally the Red with Millifiori piece (15") later that day. All 4 are circa 1950s-1960s Sommerso style tear drop vases although the first 3 are attributable to Flavio Poli but I'm still researching the large Red Millifiori piece so any helping facts to zero in on its original artistic birthplace is welcomed! Sommerso is elegant and measurable in its approach to the classical styles with perfect precision. In my opinion it's a perfect balance between the loud Venetian styles that is understated but still grabs your attention with its beautiful craftsmanship! Murano!!!! Ok I can't ever get my picture to be upright!! I'm using an iPhone 7 Plus and I've cropped and flipped every way possible!! Any help?
