The 'Nemo' design was created in 1963 by Max Kannegiesser and sold in great numbers. The 'Nemo' design is centre front in image four. Later the company marketed what might be called deritives of 'Nemo'. These also used textured surfaces to give optical effects to which was added lustre paints and gilding.
Left in image four is a derivitive I posted recently and right the one I'm posting here.
This one has spiraling ridges which cross to form curvy diamond shapes and inside each diamond is a 'lens'. The surface relief creates distortion and because the glass is clear you see the distortions on the front and the back of the vase. This design also comes as a bowl.

Hi Peggy, this is lovely, they all are. They have a very 60's look, although they're yet more vases that had I found wouldn't have had a clue :-S
The Nemo design was pretty and succesful and it is positive that they wanted to develop the idea but my first thought( addmittedly foolish) was about series and seasons 1,2,3 :)
vetraio, thank you, hopefully there are others still to find.
Kivatinitz, thank you, yes having a group enables you to see both their differences and the underlying theme that links them.
Hi Malkey, candy colours yes!
Hi Fran, but now you will know......
Ivonne, what pops into our heads when we see something is automatic, not decided by us, so can't be foolish :)
