hi we have a deep purple glass French coupe with acid treatment & abstract design, Art Deco piece
from Schneider signed
Charder standing for Charles Schneider then Le verre francais in script
it is an extremely heavy piece with thick gauge of glass
polished pontil
height 5 3/4 inches width 6 1/2 inches approximately

Oh wow Malkey, I love this! I've never seen this shape, pattern nor color on a Le Verre piece. I don't think I've ever mentioned it, but my favorite colors are anything in the maroon family... plum, mauve, purple etc., so you know I love the color too! So much work went into the etching - you have these whirls and twirls and all other good stuff going on, and then they fire polished it it. I went through my Schneider book page by page but couldn't find a match in shape nor pattern. You got yourself a good one buddy!

The glass is undoubtedly beautiful but also nicely composed with Buddleja.
