    My visiting mother from Saint Louis brought this to Rhode Island for me... And I LOVE IT!! But ... I really need the lid to restore it!!
    Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

      Hard to find a lid for this one as they made many sizes and types,much luck!

      I think it would make a fine chest of drawers as it is. I think drill is saying you aren't going to find a lid.

      W O W !!! Oshkosh has a terrific catalog and the quality..., Quite "fit" but an unknown source of where it comes from. But I am considering just mapping out a template of the opening, adding new and necessary hardware, and (if I CAN do it...) patch it up into a nice conversation piece.
      At the very LEAST ... It IS a fine chest of drawers.

      Actually I think you can get mighty close to finding it. I would search Craigslist/Antique / trunk .Oshkosh made them by the thousands, you might get lucky .Try searching your whole state first, then do the other 49. I do it each week searching for the rare ones. Check back from time to time as I'll see if I can post the link s for you here good luck Trunk life.
