This is a bit whimsical but in many ways delicate necklace with bright blue color and pink rhinestones. It is signed Bogoff. Unsure of material the underside of necklace is made with. No marks indicating silver, plated, etc.
Thank you, Ken! I should probably clarify which ones are part of my inheritance/my own already/pcs from friends vs. anything I pick up elsewhere (Goodwill!) since you have all infected me with the collecting bug.
This one and the EISENBERG brooch were both ebay purchases in the dead of the night while I watched on some items that were set for 0.99 and no one had bid, etc. There have also been ones that meant something super special to me or actually rounded out something from my inherited jewelry that I paid more for but now I'm kicking myself as I haven't finished posting all of the jewelry I inherited.
Sometimes I'd be researching a piece from one of the boxes I'm still going through and I'd end up with ebay images..it can be quite an addiction. Then I'd be on ebay to go after good deals on what I already collect and that is boxes/music boxes but I am not an expert in 'box collection' - I just know what I like and it is something I put on the back burner for many years.
Blah - not sure why I shared all that except I want my family to be able to tell what is our inherited/family collection (i.e. in terms of knowing whether our grandparent's or their grandparent's owned the jewelry originally or if it was my Mom's - the things I "add" will some day be part of the story I guess, I just need to keep the history....the provenance? correctly tracked.
LOL @ valentino97 - EXACTLY!!
I've been telling my family.."no, it's not an addiction, it's a collection and your grandmother and great-grandmother started it!".. ;)
That's where all my nice boxes I collect will come in handy....to house all the segregated/classified jewelry ;) ;)
