The premier way to travel between Chicago and Los Angeles was aboard the all Pullman Super Chief, operated by the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe (Santa Fe) Railroad. The Super Chief carried dome cars and even had a private 12 seat dining room, the Turquoise Room, that was available for private parties. The Super Chief was a class act, surviving right up to Amtrak. The Santa Fe always played on it's wild west culture and had a great admiration for the Native American culture. The décor aboard their trains was based on Native American art, and their menus featured many Native American scenes. This luncheon menu is from the 1970 Super Chief, about a year from its demise. The chimes are ringing. Lunch is served!
That's a picture that is natural. LUV it.
