A WWII period diced glengarry to the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. The glengarry is in pretty good condition for its age, although it does have some stains and very minor mothing. The tails were removed as per front line service. Badge in pretty good condition. Not named or dated, but a war time issued glengarry and I believe it is the same type as worn in WWII. Overall, nice used glengarry to one of my favorite Scottish regiments.

I'm actually watching Black watch snipers as I write this. Very nice piece.

      Caperkid,

Thank you for the kind comment. The Black Watch of Canada did have some elite snipers, I haven't seen the full documentary but I have searched it up before. Both of the Canadian and Imperial Black Watch are also among my favorite regiments, and one of the most famous Scottish regiments.

Their storey was very heroic. The documentary was very informative. It was put on also to premote the new movie Dunkirk. My grandfather was in the Cape Breton Highlanders. The used the Blackwatch tartan.

      Caperkid,

I will be sure to see the documentary soon. I also look forward to the movie Dunkirk, truly an amazing story of survival, had the result had been different, the world would not have been as we know it today. Very interesting that your grandfather was in the Cape Breton Highlanders, I didn't know they used the Black Watch (Government) tartan. I have a very interesting piece of WWI headgear to the Black Watch that I will probably be doing a post on either tonight or tomorrow.

I have his cap badge posted and a write up on the battalion. Am looking forward to seeing your post.
