I'm wondering if this lighter is considered to be Majolica? It's 5" tall and the base is 2 1/2 " wide.
When the mechanism is removed the inside is unglazed baked brown clay. Cannot find ANY "Majolica lighters" on Google search. Does this look to be Japanese?
Mechanism does spark when pressed. The bottom is glazed but whatever the mark is it's not disguisable. Is this vintage 60's?
Green and bands of brown glaze.
    Appreciate your thoughts.

Also I just noticed the brass mechanism is stamped "Japan". I don't think that it necessarily means the item was from Japan does it? Don't other countries order parts from Japan for their products?

Waiting for some information. Is this Majolica? What decade? Japan?
