Beautiful hand painted work on each side, and has the two Greek Mythology figures (Satyr) on each. The figures appear to be made of
clay, have very curly hair, are playing a harp, and have a goats leg and foot extending from their body, as well as the human legs. I purchased it at an estate sale in Houston Tx, and have no idea of its history. There are no markings. I was told it was from mid-1800's. Can anyone tell me more and have any of you seen another like it. I would appreciate more info.

Why are they Greek satyrs? I like the cartouche with the girl with the hat....she doesn't look Greek. Very nice vase/compote!
