    '"Sprechen Sie Deutsch"?

'That's what an old Fraulein said to me over in ST. Joe. when we were coining money from the needles.

'all I said was "nadeln: funf-tehn cents heap much gut."

    'She took 'em!!!'

That's on the front. On the back:

'Hurrah for the sorority girls! Now don't make a fool of yourselve, but keep your head level-- like I do, for instance.'

Postmarked in 1909 from Watervliet, Michigan, a small town.

There are a lot of "Dutch" related cards in comic dialect--less in German. FUNNY!

I passed through Watervliet once. No reason to stop. LOL.
There is a labeled grape juice bottle on e-Bay right now. Been waiting for them to lower the price, but they just keep relisting it for the same one over and over.

Meowman, how about your Chinese History teacher? :P

PostCardCollector, I think most stem from those cute little Dutch children that appeared in comics and collector's plates in the Edwardian period. They carried over to everything.
