    (4 items)

I fell in love with depression glass when I “inherited” a pair of salt and pepper four years ago. My brother in law knew of my interest in old china, stemware, silver and the like, and he sent three big boxes of old family items to me after his mother passed, and I was thrilled.
I put the set on my kitchen windowsill and was amazed at how beautifully the afternoon sunlight reflected off the green glass. The intricate pattern was so lovely in the bright light! I left them there so I could enjoy them often.
I began to visit antiques stores and flea markets from time to time, picking up additional pieces as I found them. I realized there are a wide variety of beautiful patterns, and quality drives price. The very inexpensive items I found at first, like sherbet glasses and small plates for one or two dollars, often had small nicks or scratches – those flaws meant that the items had been an active part of many meals in the past where friends and family came together and spent hours at the dining table, eating, talking, playing games, sharing their lives before technology brought other outside entertainment into homes.

I inherited some Depression glass too and have been after it since. I think I have multiplied what I got by about 6.

This is how we all started LOL , a seemingly random gift/purchase and we are forever hooked.
My family has mentioned something about an intervention, but nah. It's all good.
      Your glass looks wonderful!
