Hello CW friends!!
This is a set of Hubley cast iron Cocker Spaniel bookends from my collection. These were made in the early 1900's and were listed in the Hubley catalog as #427. These are a solid one piece design and measure 4 1/2" tall and 6 3/4" long.
Though not in the best of condition (lots of original paint loss) I still felt fortunate to find these as a set. They're most always misconceived as doorstops and the sets get broken up and sold individually as doorstops.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!
Scott
Even with the paint loss you can imagine how beautiful these must have been, but even now they are priceless !
Thanks Phil!!
I believe these were available in black or russet colors. I've only seen photos of near perfect ones.
