I purchased this chair at an auction. Not sure of value, would like to find out. My tesearch has led me to believe it is a North Wind chair. Any information appreciated.

Very nice piece with great history behind North wind chairs . I agree it is a north Wind Chair :-)

A north wind chair is similar but this has two faces on each side which usually a north wind chair has one face in the middle. Maybe east and west wind.

Oh interesting Phil I was off then I could see 2 faces but was not aware that was not right . So I will have to agree with Phil who is more knowledgeable than myself .

I wonder than is it an antique then it appears to be old, it is notched together with only two screws (that i saw) in it. Were there any known copiers of his work?

Post photo's of screws and joints. The more I look at it I see on top like a fish or bird or something else and starting to get a scandinavian viking feel about it ? Just a thought .
