    it is made from birds eye/ burl maple. has brass accents. Glass top but i think that was added later. leather inset in top
    could not find manufacturer markings

      Looks like a leather top desk with glass over it, would that be correct?

      I misread your post above. You did explain the top. Two makers come to mind that used bronze and brass accents. Maddox and Maitland Smith.

      Both of those companies also used the leather inset on the top. I have a 1951 Maddox but not the fancy trim accents.
