Here's another item from my 'antique electrical devices' collection. This is a small industrial "safety switch", made by the SQUARE D COMPANY of Detroit. Guessing it dates from the 1930's or 40's, it measures about 5"w x 7"h and is in remarkably clean condition for its likely age. I acquired it already loose, so have no idea what it originally controlled or where, but it does seem to have had a relatively easy life somewhere reasonably protected.
Antique electrical devices are fun. I buy a thing or two like thise not knowing where they are.
Thanks for the loves to Oroyoroyisthatyourhorse, ttomtucker, blunderbuss2, fortapache, Caperkid, and buckethead!
I definitely agree with your comment fortapache -- for some reason I have always had a particular fondness for 'industrial electrical things', and actually have accumulated quite a few over the years -- stay tuned, there are plenty more to come! :-)
Do you still have this Square D safety switch?
