I have what I believe to be some sort of serving spoon, but I'm not sure what it was used for. The spoon part is about 2 inches wide and it's about 2-2 1/2 inches tall. It has some markings shown in one of the photos. One of the markings looks to be the initials RS, but I just can't be sure. The other markings just aren't clear enough for me. If anyone can identify this item or provide information on the markings, I would be most appreciative.
A sugar sifter, I think.
The marks are Dutch, in my opinion.
"G - The axe/hatchet mark, used 1853-1927 as a tax mark on old Netherlands hallmarked silver items returning to the market. It was abolished because lack of knowledge sometimes caused it to be struck on old foreign objects and it had also been counterfeited and used to give spurious objects an antique aura"

Thank you so much vetraio50. I would have never seen the upside down hatchet in those markings! So, I did some more research and based on the "RS" mark that is also included, the spoon might have been made by Reindert Scheltens, but I'm not sure, because of the dating of the item and I can't seem to find a lot about him.
