These are my other two vases in this Multi Glass range.
The taller green vase is three sided in a very Multi shape, with it's very large clear wings surrounding the internal green and millefiori. I love how the wings swirl from the base . The rim is typical Multi too with it's swooping drops moving to quite pointed tips.
The blue vase is not a shape I see very often from Multi, although if I ever see a Japanese vase that rises from a narrower base to a bulb Multi is always my first thought. This is a most beautiful vase with it's purplish blue into clear, and the orange/yellow millefiori making a beautiful contrast. It is also thickly cased with vertical ribs twisting around the body and flattening at the rim.
I can reliably date these millefiori vases to the early 1980s, although I don't know who designed them.
I find them joyful and beautiful, and I really marvel at the skill in managing their production.
Green vase is 28cm high
Again, both lovely! The optics of the blue one are magical......ocean waves, stormy weather.
Oh WOW!! And they just keep getting even more BEAUTIFUL!!
