NOPE-- here is a collection of my thoughts on "looks like" image identifications:

The photo has enough information itself to discount the attribution.

The photo format is typical of the mid to late 1890s. Quick research on the Earps shows that the Earp brothers would be in their late 40s to 50s at this time.

I am very confident in saying your photo doesn't show men in their late 40s or 50s.

Id have to say your wrong the style of close and age of them in this photo is about 1874 i found photos of each brother and it dead on .if its not them then there three brothers that look just like then in 1874 and there the same age. There early 30s and there close match close that thay are wearing in other photos

I made no comment on the clothing. However, I see nothing that would eliminate the 1890s and is in fact more suggestive of that period than the 1870s.

My comment was on the PHOTO FORMAT. The mounting card for the image was NOT used in the 1870s. An 1870s image would be mounted on a plain tan mount.

If you care to give me the photographer-- found on the bottom right of the image, we can research his years as a photographer, which MAY add another check in the NOT column.

Usually photographer's marked in that spot. Why Texas? What makes these guys lawmen?

Fisher county Texas could be were fisher comes from.these guy are not just. Some guy of the street there some one there look is of a law man you ever talk to a cop thay have a look that only lawmen have.i sent this photo to Dodge city museum im waitting for them to let me know if it is wyatt earp and others there photos of him that look very close ill let you know what thay sau

Could be Fisher Texas or could be MR Fisher, the photographer?? Do the Earps have a DOCUMENTED connection to Fisher, Texas?

The "look of lawmen" is in the eye of the owner.

      I would look for PROOF.

Current proof of your attribution is non existent. Proof of the contrary is readily visible as the photo itself is from the 1890s.

I deal in "looks like" images all the time (I am an antique photograph dealer and collector) and find that despite contrary evidence owners cling to the "looks like" ID even when presented with FACTS that refute the ID.
