Oil lamp? That's what the seller told me. Looks old, can't find any oil lamps that look like this. The small stopper looking thing is for the wick she told me.

It looks like studio art glass and the signature on the bottom is dated 96 for 1996 I assume. I tried reading the signature in the picture but couldn't but I bet thats the artist name or the studio. Can you read it? what does it say exactly?
Wow! Didn't even see signature. Please see close up and please tell me if you recognize the name. I have been collecting mainly Porcelain and glass and I have rarely seen anything I like as much as this piece.
Thanks for your time and for getting back to me.
Ron
I saw a bottle that looked very similar by "Maytum Studio". Do you think this is a perfume bottle?
Ron
Unusual to see a perfume bottle with a handle.
Yes this is an oil lamp and the wick does go into the little glass insert and either made by Paul or his wife Barbara Bendzunas . An excerpt from the Crystal-Fox Gallery . He began teaching Barbara to blow in 1994, and she now shares the studio creating her own series of work . Everything that comes out of our studio is made by either Paul or Barbara Bendzunas . Usually they prefix their glass with a P or B but guess that they both contributed to the work if it isn't . For your consideration , Les . There is an art glass vase listed elsewhere on CW that was made by Barbara Bendzunas with info easy to find on the net .
I missed looking carefully at the 'chimney', which would make perfect sense for a lamp. (Note to self - don't jump to conclusions.)
