A couple fun finds outta somebody's grandma's kitchen cabinets, via the thrift store yesterday, for all of a buck fifty. :-) I doubt if they're all that rare, but are in nice clean condition as-found, and the price seemed right anyways...?
This is a pair of 7" x 10" muffin pans made of nice heavy gauge aluminum, probably ca. 1950's or 60's. Each bears the embossed MUFFINAIRE brand name in a fun script, plus the mfr's name UNITED AIRCRAFT PRODUCTS, INC. of Dayton OH in a circular logo, plus patent numbers 1,906,592 and 1,921,256.
Not so sure what muffin tins have to do with aircraft products (other than being made of the same metal...I guess that was enough?) but I think they're cool anyway, and should be fun to use one of these days if I ever happen to get brave enough to try to make myself cupcakes or cornbread muffins...?? :-) :-) :-)
I like baking with these type of pans almost once a week, love them !
