Soon to be set into a naturally occurring gold ring.
Organic design, smooth edges as if it has just been found.
Just not too sure what gem it is.
I love the cut and the vibrant orange even more.

It's gorgeous. There are various types of naturally occurring orange gemstones. Orange Sapphires and orange Zircons, for instance. I recommend having the gem checked for authenticity to avoid the possibility of ending up with a lab created stone in a gold ring.

A jeweller that we have used before in Perth city.
He was selling a couple of unusual stones for a lapidary friend.
It was a favour for the friend. He intends to show the friend as he was thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to set the stone.
We love orange so I had to but the stone 18 months ago with intent to set it one day.
The friend was an old lady who began her career late in life and she wanted to showcase her skills. Our jeweller did her the favour to try and sell the stones.
Again, I just love the cut.
Pretty color . I had a Garnet this color but not not such a unique cut . Why doesn't jeweler know what it is ?
He's fairly sure it's a orange sapphire.
A good jeweler would be able to test it . Anyway I do love orange color :-)
