I hope anyone has seen this before and can help me identify where it's from and if it is "real bronze"?
It was found in an old abandon ship dock that would have been operating in the 1800's

There are a number of these on the internet. Go to Google Images and search "real bronze padlock".
Yeah that was what I did first before posting here, sadly no information. That's why I thought I'd try here, but I guess that won't get me my answer...

It appears to be a basic warded padlock. Probably made in bronze as it would be resistant to corrosion from sea water.
