About a year ago I posted a couple of glass figures labeled Verre Marcen and I was not sure who had made them. This vase confirms my suspicion that Verre Marcen was a trade name of Multi Glass; don't you love it when you are heading in the right direction!
This is a pretty piece made from clear glass with white and yellow spatter. I like it's rectangular shape and lightly frilled rim. I think the blue tie is a great finish: very Sailor Moon I think!
It's not too big at about 20cm and I would date this to the 1980s.
The box it came in clearly stated: Verre Marcen by Multi Glass.
Can't say better than that!

It is a beauty, and timeless really. Congrats on discovering your hunch was right....... no doubt experience influenced your suspicion :)
