I do have problems to find the designer and maker of this translucent lattimo vase in this wonderful opaque milky white glass. lattimo originates from latte meaning milk.
the lattimo process has beem used in the 1920s by the key glassworks of Barovier & C., Venini & C., and MVM Cappellin & C. and in the 1950s it was adopted by almost all the glass furnaces on the island, including by Fulvio Bianconi for Venini & Co.
unfortunately this piece is not signed, is bewelled to the opening and has a clear layer of glass cased over the white translucent lattimo layer.... hard to catch that on a pic...
anybody knows who did this piece?
