I think this is a bronze,,i have had for about 8 years and could never figure out signature..I just took a look at it again today, and punched in a few searches..Pretty sure this says E Picault..
I reaally have a few questions..Does anyone know who this figure is supposed to be,,maybe age of piece and last,,the ring just sits /balances on torch?.(has a rose border) ..Im guessing they dont really go together, but thats how i got...Any ideas/help would be great
She stands right about 36" to top of torch
I've seen this exact figure on an early 1900s mantle clock.
I love these, and she's large too. Bet it's really heavy! It looks something like
E.P. Sault, but that's just a wild guess!
This is not looking like a bronze should. As the base is filled in underneath it is made of resin from the looks of it and also the finish is not what they did a hundred years ago. Also they never put the signature on that part of a base.
It is definitely metal..
Im confused about a few things ,,hence the post.. Thanks though
Maybe its a repro? Maybe there used to be a base? I dont know
They were making repros of this in metal also. I know that the base is metal. The repros were coming out a lot in the 50's and 60's. Some were very good repros. I could tell exactly but there is nothing like seeing it in person to be sure.
We have this same statue. It is most differently Bronze. We have been looking for any information on this statue because we can’t find any other picture outside of yours!! It also is signed E Picault. I’ll let you know. If I find any info, I’ll let you know. I’m thinking it’s pretty rare.
