I picked this jewelry box up this week thinking it was very pretty and proceeded to try to identify it online and I'm having a heck of a time.
I tried the reverse image lookup and that came up with nothing, but then again it usually does come up with nothing. I'm anxious for the time when they improve their technology.
I can find it nowhere at all. I thought it was older, but I may be wrong and it maybe a year old!
If anyone has seen this box anywhere and knows anything about it, I'd really appreciate knowing. Thanks!
You're right, it just may be newer but I don't know that for sure. What I do know is that I love it too. Is the middle of the heart a mirror? It sort of looks that way to me. Here's my 2 cents on the image search...I honestly believe if it did work like it should, then there might not be any quests continuing to search over and over and over! Then that's where the money factor comes in...agree???
I should have said...or lack of money!
Thanks for your answer. No the center of the heart is not a mirror but a plain metal area that looks like it was meant to be engraved. As I also said in my first description, the top has a slant toward the front and flips open. There is a mirror on the inside of the top. Most of the inside is in excellent condition, except for a lot of dust. So my quest continues right? Thank you again.
Dear Share,
I had to laugh when I read your comments about reverse image lookups. I really do look forward to the day when the technology is actually decent. It reminds me of when voice recognition first came out and I tried to use it with some learning disabled students. It was awful. Now it's great! So there's hope. For example, the other day I took a picture of an unmarked Asian vase. I was hoping to come up with something like a dynasty or at least a type of pattern, a name of the pattern used. Anything. You know what it. came back and told me? That it was a vase. Wonderful. I'm so glad I asked... Don't think I would have guessed. Anyway, just thought I'd comment on that, but thank you also.
