unusual handmade wool carpet

does any one know anything about this rug it is hand woven and old it is very unusual it,s almost betsy ross style but the strange thing is it only has 12 stars instead of 13 it appears that the rug was weaved in pieces and then sewn together[ not sure]it has no worn spots and can,t find anything about it possibly a hispanic weaving any info would be great it is very hard to do stars by hand and they all have variances it has fringe on top and bottom it is 4x6
