This is an 1864 carte de visite that shows an unusual scene for the Civil War era. Newlywed images are encountered with some regularity in the cabinet card format (usually 1880s- 90s) and later images, but I don't see a lot of cdvs.
At first glance, I thought the image was from the UK and therefore less desirable for a US collector, but the back surprised me.
The image was taken by Wenderoth & Taylor of Philadelphia a large and well known gallery. In fact, this photo is annotated as No. 39,469-- showing just how prolific their images were in that era.
Additionally, the image contains a "W & T" cancelled revenue stamp that also bears the date of 1864-- the first year of the tax on photographs.
Corners of the image were period clipped to aid in album insertion.
