Greetings all, I have what I think is a powder horn marked R Milne , but it's small so I'm not sure if it is a powder horn , could it be for caps? Can anyone help, thanks everyone, Trevor

You don't show the opening at the small end. It could be a priming horn for old guns with a powder/flash pan, such as a flintlock. That powder was ground real fine.
Hello, at the small end there's a small leaver that you can open as if to pour out something but the opening is small do you think that could be it? Thanks for the information blunderbuss2
I would sooner think it is an old snuff mull. My 2 cents.
Hello fhrjnr2 , can you tell me what's a snuff mull, as I have never heard that before, thanks for your time, Trevor in Ireland
I feel fhrj2 has got it.

Snuff mull, like I said all along. LOL !
Thank you blunderbuss2 you were right , good call, you know your stuff
I thought it might be a dinosaur toenail without nail polish. :).
It is a snuff mull or box. Many were sold commercially and could be found in catalogs for many men's clothiers in the 1870-1890s.
