    Greetings all, I have what I think is a powder horn marked R Milne , but it's small so I'm not sure if it is a powder horn , could it be for caps? Can anyone help, thanks everyone, Trevor

      You don't show the opening at the small end. It could be a priming horn for old guns with a powder/flash pan, such as a flintlock. That powder was ground real fine.

      Hello, at the small end there's a small leaver that you can open as if to pour out something but the opening is small do you think that could be it? Thanks for the information blunderbuss2

      I thought it might be a dinosaur toenail without nail polish. :).

      It is a snuff mull or box. Many were sold commercially and could be found in catalogs for many men's clothiers in the 1870-1890s.
