This vintage pendant might have been part of a typical dirndl outfit. It reminds me of Erbacher carvings but the quality of the craftsmanship is not the same. It was made of some kind of natural material. I believe it is some sort of bone, however, I don't know what animal it could come from.
Thanks for looking:)
Could it be ivory?
Thanks for your comment, VintageartworksU33.
Actually, I bought it as ivory, but not for an ivory price. I got it in Loebau (Germany) in a small antique shop. The shopkeeper wanted 5 Euros for it, so I got it because it is old, hand carved, and I liked it, even though, or perhaps because, I don't think that it is really ivory. Funny enough, I found an almost identical rose a few days later in Goerlitz. Again, the shopkeeper said that it was ivory and wanted a few times the amount I paid.
I don't think it is ivory and therefore posted it as costume jewelry.
