This colorful rock is Peacock Ore which is most likely Chalcopyrite or Bornite treated with acid. Apparently it is sold to amateur collectors (that's me!). Professional collectors are above that. I would like to become a professional collector sometime I think I would be good at professional collecting.
This is also the Chakra Stone. It aligns your Chakra energy or some such. Thanos has one I think.
Anyway it is a very colorful and heavy little chunk of rock.
Enjoyed very much your verbal posting. We all have to chuckle at ourselves sometimes. Hang in there, that's what I'm trying to do. Great looking piece of ore also.
Thank you very much Padit. Very glad you enjoyed it.

My Chakra needs all the help it can get. Lovely stone.
Thank you very much Wandlessfairy. I will channel some chakra energy to you.
Thank you SEAN68.
....and to add a note of caution to the "lesser traveled" collector: Bornite pieces like these are frequently tried to be passed off and sold to the unsuspecting as being the more rare, and far more pricey mineral 'Covellite'.
Thank you very much FatrCat for the information.
