    Here is the special souvenir issue of the "Boston Record American" newspaper, dated Friday August 19, 1966. It has the major headline,
    "Beatles Plan Retirement". This paper came out the morning after The Beatles sold out concert at the Suffolk Downs Racetrack in East Boston on August 18, 1966. Rumors had been circulating that this was to be the bands final tour...they denied it at the time...but it was true.

      great memories sent away for this edition i think i paid a dime each plus shipping.still have them today. my cousin took her whole family to shea stadium. then went also to suffok downs. best movie hard days night/although yellow submarine was also a fav. Mania came to boston and never left......

      You are so right! This souvenir edition cost 10 cents in the Summer of 1966. That's how I got this one.
