I'm just looking to find out more information about this piece? I'm pretty sure it's a replica and it was given to me years ago as a gift. There is a round stamping on the back that says Max Muller and one other word but I cannot read the other word.

The book Mode und Modeschmuck Fashion and Jewelry 1920-1970 by Christianne Weber and Renate Moller has pieces and may be you could find in the library or they could order for you from some of their affiliate libraries. See ebay has some and if you google max muller necklace you can find some very nice dreamy pieces on google images.

High end designer from what I can tell. Google images and try to see how most of his jewelry is marked (or not as the case may be). Then you can compare to the mark you have on the back of the necklace. This should help determine if it's an original or not.
