This baby bottle was found in an old dump that had been closed for over 50 years, in northern Ontario, Canada. It was dug up in 1980, by my father. I was collecting old bottles at the time. I have never seen another like it, and cannot find any information on this specific bottle. It has a top with a hold for the nipple and hose, and the threads are on the inside of the bottle neck. The embossing says "KILNER BROS LTD" "LONDON" "TRADE MARK REGISTERED". The centre part which looks like a circle with longitudinal and latitudinal lines has embossing showing "OUR BABIES BOTTLE" and a KB symbol. Although I have been able to find information about Kilner Bros., I have been unable to find any information about this specific bottle. If anyone has any information, I would very much appreciate your input. Thank you.
Cool, resembles flasks of the period. LOL
I can't help with British bottles, but that it retains its threaded stopper is a scarcer thing to see.
Im up in Northern Ontario too I dig up bottles and i found the 1880-90 version on this bottle today. It's tool tipped with the same writting. your bottle looks to be 1900-20 but its hard to tell with the picture... I also cant find anothing about it
Internal-threaded screw-tops have been in use by the British since the 1870s. It is hard to date them, though, as traditional methods were used to manufacture bottles into the 1930s.
