    Nice example of Hull Pottery bottom reads HULL 3 letters not easily read. ( H ?? t ) , 1946-47, USA-23-6 1/2 also a large /3 . very nice coloration and no damage. Given t my wife by her mother. any information would be appreciated
    I have been told that is called Magnolia Matt and is a teapot.

      Pattern name is "Magnolia Matte", produced in 1946 & 47. A gloss version was produced in 1947 & 48. A desirable pattern for collectors. As you said, the base is marked with the shape designation "23" and the size " 6 1/2". Not sure about the additional markings.
