Hi all,
I recently acquired this African (I believe) wooden sculpture and cannot find anything out about it. The super smooth abstracted forms caught my eye and I instantly had to have it. It reminded me a the surrealists that I love, such as Yves Tanguy. The piece is of a dark wood and is signed on the bottom "D.NDOLO". Has anyone any insight into the artist, origin, depiction, age, or purpose? It measures about 16" tall. Any information would be great. I have been appreciating it thus far for its purely aesthetic and sculptural qualities but would love to learn more about it.
Thank you
Tony
