Captains desk (I think anyway) but I have no idea how old it is or how to tell. Also, do these typically have a bench or chair of some sort?
34" tall, 21.5" wide, 22" deep. I bought it from a gal who listed it as a child's desk. She said she got it from a garage sale.
All 8 side drawers work, along with all the little drawers inside. Leather top.
A lovely Captain's Desk, here's some chairs for you:

I really like the leather chairs, so comfy.
Looking at the hardware I think you had the wool pulled over your eyes.
Ah well I didn't pay much for it.
Did you try looking up english davenport which this is styled after ?

Yes I did look these up, I was surprised that they're all so tiny! I'm just wondering how to tell how old it is? It really is a neat little piece of furniture.
A captain's desk would have a way to anchour it to deck or bulkhead.
