Vintage Black Glass Bead-Rhinestone set in Gold Tone Brooch

This may seem a bit unassuming and I've set it aside before (can only take so many pics at a time), but figure maybe I'm not doing it justice...so I'm trotting it out for all my friends here.

I'm not sure how to determine 'glass' from 'rhinestones'...are rhinestones made from glass (and yeah, I know I could google all of it but I spend my work life as an analyst..so sometimes I just hit a limit on searching..lol

It is signed AUSTRIA on the back.

Without much more....unsure we can date it.

Well, hope the little guy makes for at least an interesting momentary visual.
