for @VintageFran in response to porcelain finished glass... This is my Imperial Glass 'Doeskin' finish Laced Edge cake stand. The satin finish on this glass feels like very fine porcelain with the feel of fine velour or suede. Imperial Glass produced their 'Doeskin' finish in the 1950s on opaque white milk glass. They also made a black glass with a similar finish named 'Black Suede'.

Hi TC. Very interesting. Like the jugs I posted I wouldn't know it was glass at first glance. I've not come across the term Doeskin or Black Suede before, nor seen any in black. Thank you for posting :)

thank you Vintagefran : ) Doeskin and Black Suede are Imperial Glass trademark names for satin glass finish in the 1950s; most collectors would think of this as a satin or frosted finish.
