Hi, have my 2 wee dogs about 5 years now, got them in a second-hand shop here in Ireland(tho I suspect they are English!?)anyway hope you like them as much as we do ???? they were in great condition when I bought them and still are, with just one thin crack about 4" long on the back of one of them. So are they English?
Yes, they are made in Staffordshire. They are modern reproductions. The Victorian Staffordshire dogs look very different.
Thanks for the info, we never looked into the origin of them before, so what year would you think they were made? I've just googled Staffordshire Victorian Dogs and there's lots of beautiful ones just like these ????
Can you tell me some more about them, one is bigger than the other and paint is not the same!? Also I can't seem to find any maker markings at-all. Thank you ????
