I guess I should google before I post but I haven't seen many of these around...referred to as a 'basket pendant'? It has different colored stones (the stones actually look and feel real...but 'real what', I don't know) on each side.
Open link chain with no closure - it is heavy duty and intrigues me too - no hallmarks. Gold tone finish.
I'm intrigued by this item! I guess you could have held all sorts of tiny things inside this 'basket'.
No hallmarks/stamps anywhere that I could find...bummer!
What do y'all think??

lentilka11 - you know that's a good guess as the stones remind me of the many Scottish items I see. Thanks for taking time to stop by and especially for trying to help out with this little mystery item! Since the work week is almost over, I'll try and do some googling this weekend on it.
Unfortunately I don't have a good answer for you, but the design reminds me of some ottoman pieces I've seen. You may want to try searching for ottoman pendants or possibly Balkan ottoman pendants. Good luck.
