A simple ring with a lovely shade of blue. Not sure what the age of it is or who the maker is. I wear it as a pinky ring.

definitely real :)
It is indeed a wonderful rich shade of blue, more lively than most sapphires. Kyanite is the only thing I can think of offhand that is similar, but too easily fractured for wear in a ring.
