These are photo's of the famous Red Arrows flying over Clitheroe Castle today in my home town in the North of England.
The keep is the second smallest surviving stone built Keep in England. It is of Norman origin, built in the twelfth century.
The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, are one of the worlds premier aerobatic display teams.
I hope you enjoy these wonderful photo's as much as myself, I think they are wonderful. The last time I saw the Red Arrows was many moons ago in the Isle of Man.

    Many thanks for looking

Yes SpiritBear, they are great photo's, I wish I could take credit for them but unfortunately they are not mine. It brings back many memories of this iconic building that was part of my childhood and to this day it brings back those lovely glowing feeling of growing up and them days gone by. I appreciate your comment, I'm glad you like the photo's. :-))))

Such wonderful photos!! They're in perfect formation. The RAF Red Arrows are to you what the USAF Thunderbirds would be to us here across the pond.

Hi Scott, I have to say they are great photo's, which I had to share on CW. I've looked up USAF Thunderbirds and yes they are the same. Another thing that's amazing is that it couldn't have been a nicer day to have watch this display in the North of England, usually it's raining cats and dogs, that Is a saying we have, lol.

Thank you Caperkid, I really appreciate the comment. The Red Arrows are a institution in the U.K. And maybe the commonwealth country.

Breathtaking! Grew up with a father in the Air Force and we got to see so many special shows given by not just the USAF but also the Navy. They are simply amazing. I would also have LOVED to have been on the Isle of Man and seen that previous show! Thank you for sharing!!

We say raining cats and dogs here in the US as well..lol. I love rainy weather and everyone has told me I need to move to Seattle, Washington or to England. My employer has offices all over the world and a few folks I help out (with my job) have dangled offers to work in the UK. I'd be a happy girl if it rained 80% of the time.

Hi KarenLR, I didn't see them this time unfortunately but I do think these photos are wonderful, especially with them flying over Clitheroe Castle, which was a big part of my childhood and is also today.
I saw them in the Isle of Man, it was the TT week, which is world famous for its motorbike racing.
I live in Spain so I don't mind going back to the UK lol. My friends get very fed up of the rain especially in the summer when they expect the sun to show an appearance.

Hi Phil, I've put a link above which will tell you the history of Clitheroe Castle.
Yesterday was a festival in the town and the Red Arrows flew above the castle before going onto Blackpool for a air show.
