    Rescued this Chippendale period walnut chair from an antiques dealer who was ready to throw the chair out. Though not true restoration because the top piece was completely broken off and missing, I went ahead and repaired the complicated breaks using glue and dowels, sanded smooth the stubs of wood to look as if the top portion never existed, then faux grained the look of walnut, staining and finishing the entire chair to match....

      Wow! You did an excellent job! Where are you? I need some pieces repaired and I'd have paid you to do that!!! When I first looked at it I was thinking "yea, good luck with that one"...boy, was I surprised!
