This is an antique watercolor copy of a painting by Charles Dana Gibson entitled "She Contemplates The Cloister."
It looks like the artist is "D. Butcher Gibson." I wonder if that is the artist's real name or just a play on Charles Dana Gibson (?).
I had to search forever to find the original on line, but finally found pen and ink prints for sale. I think that this artist did a fairly decent job whoever he/she was.
